7. Fargo Brewing Co.

In a city that drinks a lot of beer and continually ranks in the top five for consumption per capita, Fargo, N.D., remained surprisingly barren of craft beer for far too long. It wasn’t long until four natives - all interested in starting a brewery - quickly found each other in 2009 and Fargo Brewing Co. was born a year later. In September 2011, the Wood Chipper IPA became the brewery’s first beer on tap.
