Stella Artois partners with Marchesa and Water.org to be 'the generation to end the global water crisis.'

As the stars arrive and walk the red carpet to the Academy Awards show, E! gets us up-close and personal to something almost as important as Oscar: the dress. Miss Universe 2015, actress, and beauty and fashion influencer Olivia Culpo, will debut Sunday the one-of-a-kind Marchesa for Stella Artois gown.
The bespoke dress was designed in support of Stella Artois’ “Buy A Lady A Drink” campaign, which helps Water.org provide clean water for people in the developing world. Stella Artois released three limited-edition chalices that highlight Uganda, Brazil and Cambodia – three countries where Water.org provides support. Chalices are sold for $13 on Amazon and every one sold helps Water.org provide five years of clean water for one person in the developing world.
“Marchesa is at the center of the world’s most iconic red carpet moments and to have a partner like this on one of the biggest stages of the year is humbling,” Stella Artois Vice President Harry Lewis said in a press release. “By rallying people on the red carpet and at home across the country, we are one step closer to being the generation to end the global water crisis.”
The chalices and the water it represents inspired the Marchesa dress, including the shimmer in the chalice’s etching, gold adornments and the shape and silhouette of the glasses. The dress will incorporate glass beads made from the Stella Artois limited edition chalices, helping to deliver years of clean water to people in the developing world.
“Since we were girls, designing beautiful clothing was our dream, and as mothers, we look for ways to support and uplift other women around the world,” Marchesa co-founder Georgina Chapman said in a press release. “With access to clean water, women are better able to pursue their passions, so we’re honored to join Stella Artois and Water.org in their campaign to end the global water crisis.”
‘Buy A Lady A Drink’
Stella Artois’ “Buy A Lady A Drink” campaign began in 2015 and the company this year announced a four-year recommitment to Water.org to help provide 3.5 million people with long-term, sustainable access to clean water by 2020.
“Water is essential to the lives we live,” the company says. “It’s also an essential part of our 600-year heritage and the Stella Artois we make today. It’s a shared resource that we believe needs to be protected and conserved – and made accessible to all.”
Today, more than 663 million people live without access to clean water, according to Water.org. Stella Artois has helped provide more than 800,000 people in the developing world with access to five years of clean water by selling more than 225,000 limited edition chalices and donating $3 million to Water.org.

- 1.5 oz. elderflower soda or .5 oz. of elderflower syrup with 1 oz. club soda
- 1 oz. lemonade
- Garnish with lavender sprig or edible flowers
- Pour 1.5 oz. elderflower soda into champagne glass
- Add 1 oz. lemonade
- Top off with Stella Artois Cidre
- Add garnish

- 2 oz. pear nectar
- 3-4 drops almond extract
- Finish with pear twis
- Pour 2 oz. pear nectar into a champagne glass
- Add a dash of almond extract
